The McMillan Family

Thursday, January 17, 2013

It is such a pleasure to meet and spend time with people that I might not otherwise except for my business.  This family was so much fun to shoot and I am so glad mom called me do it.  These two children were so cute and energetic (and VERY sweet, I might add), and mom was just gorgeous.

Prints and Storyboards (and a sale!)

Saturday, January 12, 2013

I know, I've been there.  You've had your images on a flashdrive or disc and have either not gotten around to printing them out, or have printed at a place that also sells eggs, milk, and Tylenol.  I never paid any attention to the quality of my prints until I started printing through a reputable professional printer.  Let me say that the difference is astounding!  Skin looks like skin with no harsh shadows, no weird color casts, fantastic resolution and focus, quality paper, and the list goes on and on.  I have my prints sitting on my mantle on stands and when I glance up and see my grandson looking back at me, it always brings a smile to my face.

Here's the thing--it is actually much easier for me to hand my clients a flashdrive and send them on their way.  But I believe in professional printing or I would not sell it, promise!  I am frugal by nature and I have to believe that something is far superior in order for me to spend money on it.  And I want my clients to be able to have access to excellent quality prints too. That is why three out of four of my packages now come with print credits.  I spend hours in Photoshop after each session perfecting skin tones and colors, and the wrong printer can undo all that hard work in a matter of minutes. Click here for a great article and visual comparison of different printing companies.

I am offering a sale for all my past clients.  I encourage you to take advantage and see the difference for yourself.  If you are going to hang something on the wall to admire for years to come, wouldn't you want it to look amazing?

I am also super excited to offer storyboards.  Storyboards are a great way to display numerous photos on one print.  They tell a story and have a great impact.  They have 2-16 pictures, and range in size from 8 x 10 to 20 x 30.  I can design a storyboard for you using the images you love from your gallery.  Storyboards are the same quality as all my prints.   All my print and storyboard prices can be found on my Policies and Investment page.   Here are some examples of storyboards:

Sale ends January 19.  Call me or message me and let me help you order a gorgeous print or storyboard!

The Davis Family

Thursday, January 10, 2013

The Davis family loves horses and they brought a couple of them along to their session.  I love it when clients want to make their session unique like this; it personalizes the photos and makes them even more special.  We had some overcast, rainy weather that day, but it stayed away long enough to shoot, and the sun even popped out a few times.  I'm so glad I got the opportunity to photograph this beautiful, sweet family.
